Graphics: Tinkercad Tutorial

This week in Graphics I have made a Tutorial that show's the process of how to make a shape of your kind or a model or design so that when your print it out on a 3D it will come out well.

Social Studies: John Preston

In Social Studies this week my class and I have been working on researching NZ army soldiers that died in WW1 and WW2 on ANZAC day this is my soldier that I researched on.

My soldier: John Preston
  • Born in: Skipton, Yorkshire
  • Age: 25 years old
  • Last Dept Responsible: Department of Internal Affairs, Head office
  • Day of Death: 4, June, 1914, Saturday
  • Parents: Thomas and Mary Ann Preston
  • Job: Grocer
  • Address: 109 Nelson st. Auckland
  • Birth Date: 31st, March, 1893
  • Christian Name: Fredrick John
How would he have felt about leaving NZ to fight overseas?
I think that he would have felt scared to leave NZ to go overseas but also feel proud to fight for his country.

How would he have felt during the conflict?
I think that he would have felt like there was a reason to cause the war like as in he must be wondering "How this war started" or "Why should we fight when we can just continue with our lives" I think he would have felt scared also during the war and felt confused.

Graphics: Speakers "Label the Parts"

                                                    "Label The Parts"
This week our task that our teacher gave us was to "Label the Parts", Meaning labelling parts of the speaker like the Buttons/Control and we had to chose 3 different types of Speaker and label the buttons/controls on them. Here is the finishing result.....

Graphics: Speaker - "The Plan"

Speaker #2

So before making a model you must have a plan, And to make our model of a Speaker this our plan"
  1. Market Research
  2. Product Research
  3. Concept Ideas
  4. Feedback
  5. Design Development - Material, Size, Impone Reflect
  6. Model Testing
  7. Feedback
  8. Final Design
  9. Drawing
  10. Model

Graphics: Speaker - Timeline

In Graphics this week my group Angela, Toni, Sa'lote and I have been working on making a model of a  "Speaker". Before we make our model of a speaker our teacher gave us a task to make a Timeline about Speaker from the, First speaker to every be made to speaker which are smaller now and easier to carry around.

This is the finishing result!

What I've learned in Science this Term

- This term me and my class have been learning about...
Image result for layers of the earth
  • Layers of the Earth
  • Convection Current
  • Volcano + Eruption
  • Tsunami's
  • Tectonic Plate
  • and Bunsen Burner
- 5 things I've learned about "Layers of the Earth" is that there are 4 Layers all together called the Crust, Mantel, Outer Core, Inner Core. The Mantel is the thickest Layer and the Crust is the thinnest Layers. The Outer Core is mostly liquid and the Inner Core is mostly made of Iron.

Image result for convection currents- Did you know: The middle of the mantle "flows"  because of Convection Current are caused by the very hot material at the deepest part of the mantel rising, then cooling and sinking again repeating the cycle over and over again

Image result for how tsunamis occur

-I also learned about How Tsunami's are formed which are caused by four stages Initiation, Split, Amplification, Run up.

Image result for volcano parts

- Another thing I learned in Science is Volcano. There are 7 parts of the volcano the Initiation, Split, Amplification, Run up.

Science: Volcano experiment

For the last past few weeks in Science we have been working and researching on Volcano Eruption we have also been doing experiments. Here are some of the information I learned/discover about Volcano Eruption + Our volcano explosion and Volcano Model

1) Volcanoes are formed when magma from within the Earth's upper mantle works its way to the surface. At the surface, it erupts to form lava flows and ash deposits.

2) The Earth's crust is made up of huge slabs called plates, which fit together like a jigsaw puzzle. These plates sometimes move. The friction causes earthquakes and volcanic eruptions near the edges of the plates. The theory that explains this process is called plate tectonics.

3) Magma also rises when these tectonic plates move toward each other. When this happens, part of Earth's crust can be forced deep into its interior.
